Tanya Tagaq, whom we hosted in October of 2013, won the Polaris Music Prize! Watch this video to see her perform, it’s probably unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. For those of you who missed Tagaq at Writers Read last year, don’t make the same mistake again and mark your calendars for Deirdre Madden on October 10 at 7pm at Concordia University in Room H-767, and Our Celebration of Quebec Women’s Writing on October 16, featuring a marathon reading of Gail Scott’s My Paris from 11 am – 6pm following by a reading featuring Gail Scott, Lisa Robertson, Nicole Brossard and Rachel Levitsky at 7 pm. Both events will be be held in Room H- 767 at Concordia University, 1455 de Maisonneuve West.
